Established New Zealand artist John Reynolds is a painter who works across a range of media, making works both small and monumental. SUMWHR, the first comprehensive publication of the artist's work, develops the artist's conversation with a selection of artist pages, essays on Reynolds's contemporary painting projects by Gregory Burke, Dr Markman Ellis and Dr Francis Pound, an extended interview with the artist conducted by Robert Leonard, and a complete biography and bibliography of the artist. The catalogue follows the 2001 exhibitions Harry Human Heights at Auckland gallery Artspace, and K Rd to Kingdom Come at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery.
