The Whenua exhibition was brought together by Toi Maori Aotearoa in association with the Wellington City Council and comprises an outstanding collection of contemporary Maori art from leading Maori artists, shown at the Tinakori Gallery. This exhibition follows the success of "Kiwa - Pacific Connections", a similar exhibition staged in Vancouver, Canada last year. "Whenua" builds on the success fo "Kiwa" and features many of the same artists.
